Q: What kind of work is done there at Advanced Engineering?
A: We are a Microsoft Solutions Provider. We can handle all your programming needs from SQL to Visual Basic. We can help you with your WEB needs. If you need data tracking or error proofing systems, we can help you there also. We can put together a tracking system using Bar Coding and connect from PLC to SQL database. We are also a systems integrator and can take your project to completion with panel fabrication, controls programming and drawings.

Q: How can I use Barcode Menu Builder with Wonderware?
A: BMB can be the software interface between the reader and your Wonderware application.



Q: Can you fabricate a control panel for my project?
A: Yes, we have a large panel shop that can handle most of your needs. Call us.

Q: Do you have the capability to give me drawings?
A: Supplying documentation and drawings is a very important part of any project. Yes we can, we use Autocad and can give you drawings in versions 13,14 and Autocad 2000.

Q: Can you do drawings for me on existing control panels?
A: Yes. We understand sometimes drawings are lost or maybe a project was done without proper documentation. Contact us.

Q: What PLC families are you able to program?
A: We can do all the major families; Siemens, Allen Bradley, Modicon, GE, and TI. Call us, we do have some experience in other smaller PLCs.

Q: What is a LEM or what does LEM stand for?
A: LEM is an acronym  for Logic Extension Module and is used in AB Softlogix PLC just like a native AB instruction.

Q: Do you have LEMs for AllenBradley’s Softlogix PLCs?
A: Yes, we have several LEMs (Logix Extension Modules) to make your project easier and cleaner. See products on our web site.

Q: Do other PLC manufacturers have PC based or Soft PLCs?
A: Yes, Siemens has a program called WinAC. Siemens Soft PLC instructions are called Custom Interface instructions CI for short.

Q: Do you have CIs for Siemens Soft PLC?
A: Yes, we currently have two. The first CI is for adding serial connections to your Soft PLC. You can communicate with up to 256 available ports. This can give you the ability to connect to bar code scanners or printers. The second CI is for SQL database enabling your Soft PLC. This enables your Soft PLC and your SQL database to communicate with no outside programming required.
